Ferrari 812 GTS – Superfast speed with wind in your hair

The 812 superfast is a crazy fast machine, and Ferrari decided that to enjoy this car even more, you need some sun in your hair.

Bringing the heat with a front mounted v12 with 800 hp and 718 Nm of torque. Of course, the maximum power is reached very high up in the revline, since it is a naturally aspirated car. The power is good for a top speed over 340 km/h. 0-100 km/h is done with in under 3 seconds. In other words, blistering performance.

Even though the car is designed for speed. The exterior is designed to be smooth. No extreme crevices or bulges. Classic proportions goes a long way and Ferrari has made the most of the front engine layout to get the proportions right. Actually, the rear is a tad bit different compared to the 812 superfast. The reason being, of course, that the roof mechanism demanded some changes, but also to make the car slimmer.

Even though it very well can be the most powerful cabriolet in existence, it must be noted that it follows the footsteps of a car that very much changed the market for Ferrari. The F12, which showed the lunacy when you shoehorn a v12 into a front engine car. The 812 GTS should therefore be seen as the predecessor to that car.

With the 812 Superfast starting at 300 00 euros, and Ferraris huge markup on convertibles, the 812 GTS could very well be up in 350 000 euros. But that is only speculation. There is however no question that this car will melt bank accounts wherever it goes.
