A huge car which to be honest looks like what the A7 could look like in the future. Angular and bulging body panels with a classic long, sloping hood short rear design gives the best of two worlds. Audi really nailed the exterior which is light years ahead of ANY electric sports car to date. It is planned to be in production after two years.

Stepping inside will give you a plethora of recyclable materials and a simple and restrained design, very different compared to the exterior.

The car will be fully electric and with the help from two monstrous electric engines with a combined output of 590 Hp it will do 0-100 kmh in 3.5 seconds. That is Tesla territory. The problem with electric cars have always been the range, but with the E-tron GT concept, the range is said to be over 400 km. The top speed has even been limited to 240 kmh in order to increase range, but good luck trying to keep of the gas pedal with all that performance under the hood.

Of course, Quattro can also be found in this car, although not the Quattro we have known and love. There is no mechanical connection between the rear and front axle meaning that the four wheel drive is completely electrical. We will see if it will be as good as the old system…

Audi has been keen to mention the low center of gravity. As with batteries, they are heavy, meaning that placing them at the bottom of the car makes the car comparable with an Audi R8. Seems like quite a stretch but we will go along with it.

The wow factor for me must be the possibility to do max acceleration runs back to back with the help of increased cooling technology. Something Tesla is having difficulties with. Electric technology is going forward and is exceeding every expectation and presumption I ever had.
